2026-2027 SUBSCRIPTION BUSING INFORMATION

The Subscription Busing Application for the 2026-2027 school year will open on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and close on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Applications can be accessed through the Genesis Parent Portal under Forms.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SUBSCRIPTION BUSING

Due to ongoing rising transportation costs, including fuel and operational expenses, Edison Township Public Schools will be raising the cost of the Subscription Busing service. As a result, the following changes are in effect for Subscription Busing.

All families seeking Subscription Busing must submit a new application for the 2026-2027 school year. Previous participation does not guarantee a seat, and registrations do not automatically carry over from one school year to the next.

Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee transportation. Subscription Busing is subject to seat and route availability. 

Subscription Busing is a paid service. Once an application has been reviewed and a seat becomes available, families will be notified by email. The transportation fee will then be posted to the Genesis Parent Portal under Forms.

2026-2027 Rate: $920

Payments will only be accepted online through Community Pass. Families will have seven (7) days from notification to submit payment. Failure to submit payment within seven days will result in forfeiture of the seat, which will then be offered to the next student on the list. All subscription transportation fees are non-refundable.

Registration will be processed on a first-come, first-available basis. A separate application must be submitted for each child.

If a student is unenrolled from Edison Township Public Schools at any time during the school year, the subscription seat will be forfeited. If the student subsequently re-enrolls during the same school year, placement will occur at the bottom of the waiting list.

Please note that the eligibility guidelines established in October 2023 remain in effect. Distance is calculated in accordance with state policy: "Measurement is made by the shortest distance along public roadways or walkways between the entrance to the student's home and the nearest public entrance of the school building. This measurement is for eligibility purposes only and is not necessarily the travel path to or from school."

SUBSCRIPTION (PAID):

  • Elementary and Middle School Eligibility for Subscription (Paid Bus): Students residing under 2 miles from their school.

  • High School Eligibility for Subscription (Paid Bus): Students residing under 2.5 miles from their school.

MANDATED (FREE):

  • Elementary and Middle School Eligibility for Mandated Transportation: Students must reside beyond 2 miles from their school.

  • High School Eligibility for Mandated Transportation: Students must reside beyond 2.5 miles from their school.
