The Woodrow Math Competition Team competed in the Saint Joseph (boys) and Mount Saint Mary Academy (girls) Math Competitions, bringing home impressive finishes. The team placed 2nd in both competitions—an outstanding performance by our talented mathletes!
The Saint Joseph’s Math Competition brought together about 50 participants from 12 schools. Among the competitors, several students from Woodrow stood out. Eighth grader Arjun Bhumula, seventh grader Aarav Mishra, and eighth grader Vihaan Gandhi delivered remarkable performances, earning 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, respectively, in the individual competition. These individual achievements helped secure a 2nd place finish for the Woodrow team overall. Additionally, 8th graders Tanuj Yakkali, Artham Juvariwala, & Aahaan Yadav also had impressive finishes, securing 6th place in a 3-way tie, Shriyam Bagchi Majumder & Sidharth Sudharsun came in 9th Place, 7th Grader Viaan Patel placed 10th and Tejas Kuruba placed 14th.
Two Woodrow students competed at the Mount Saint Mary Academy Math Competition, which featured 50 competitors. Eighth graders Karolyn Du and Naisha Umesh represented Woodrow with distinction. Karolyn earned 1st place and Naisha secured 15th in the individual rankings. Thanks to their outstanding performances, the Woodrow team earned a well-deserved 2nd place overall finish.
