Woodrow Wilson Middle School (WWMS) proudly celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of 52 student representatives who competed at the 2024 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. The event, held from June 24 to July 2, welcomed more than 18,000 students, educators, and volunteers from across the country.
WWMS students competed among 850 middle schools and 8,700 high school participants in over 100 competitive events. Twenty-one students placed in the top 10 nationally, with four earning 1st place honors in their respective categories—an exceptional achievement that highlights the talent, dedication, and preparation of the WWMS team.
In addition to competitions, students attended career-focused workshops, networked with representatives from more than 60 colleges and employers, and heard from inspirational industry leaders. The trip also included team-building experiences at Universal Studios, The Orlando Eye, and Main Event.
“Our student members brought their best to Orlando and impressed our more than 800 judges with their extensive knowledge in areas as diverse as accounting to impromptu speaking to sports management,” said FBLA Interim President & CEO Randy W. Fiser. “As they return home from this transformative experience, they do so with more self-confidence, more professional contacts, and more tools to lead the workforce of the future.”
WWMS extends special thanks to club advisors Ms. Cameron and Ms. Felipe, Assistant Principal Ms. Mendiratta, and the dedicated parent chaperones who supported students throughout the experience. Gratitude also goes to the school administration, families, and PTA for making this opportunity possible.
The entire Edison Township Public Schools community is proud of these remarkable students for representing the district with integrity, leadership, and excellence. Their success exemplifies the school’s commitment to preparing students for lifelong success.
