      4. Pay for the course on their website.
       
      ** Make sure you indicate your school is  J.P. Stevens H.S.  The periods after J and P ARE necessary.  DO NOT USE YOUR MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! **

    Middlesex County College Options
    • First Option: Taking a class at Middlesex County College

                     ** Students must be at least in 10th grade and 15 years of age **

    In order to provide students with options to acquire the State graduation requirement of 5 credits in Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) and 5 credits in 21st Century Life and Careers (21CL), after obtaining pre-approval from their school counselor, students will be able to register and attend courses at Middlesex County College.  Students will receive 2.5 Edison credits for each 3 credit MCC course.  Students should check with the college for the time and days the courses are offered.  Classes are Pass/Fail on the JPS Transcript but the grade appears in the comment section of the transcript.

    • Second Option: Taking an approved course through MCC at JPS
    Due 10/24/19 to the Counseling Office The MCC High School Scholars Program enables a student at John P. Stevens High School to take an approved course at JPS and earn additional credit from Middlesex County College. Most courses have a minimum grade that needs to be earned by the end of the year in order to qualify to receive the appropriate MCC credit on a MCC transcript. Refer to the courses listed below. For questions, please check with your current teacher in these subjects.
    DO NOT take your applications to Middlesex County College.
    Classes for 2018-2019 include: Mathematics: AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Calculus-1, Statistics-1, Statistics-2, Pre-Calculus H, Pre-Calculus-1, Pre-Calculus-2, Integrated Math A . Science: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1. History/Social Studies: AP American Government, Sociology, Psychology. Family/Consumer Science: Business of Fashion H
