 Subscription Bussing Application

Who needs to complete an application?

ONLY those who qualify for Subscription Bussing as per the Edison Township Street Index.

How to check for Bussing Eligibility?

Please check your bussing eligibility by clicking the Street Index, also available on district website at www.edison.k12.nj.us under Quicklinks.

If your street name has B=Free Bus, W=Walker(no bus), S=Subscription

Who gets a Free Bus?

As per the NJ State guidelines, Elementary and Middle School children that live more than 2 miles and High School Students that live more than 2.5 miles get a free bus.  

Do you need to complete the Subscription Bussing application if you are eligible for a Free Bus?

NO, you do not need to fill the subscription bussing form if you get a Free Bus.  If you have a free bus because of Free Lunch, you must fill out the form.

What do you need to do if you get a Free Bus?

If you get a Free Bus, your child will be automatically assigned a bus route and the closest bus stop. You Do Not have to fill out any forms.

Do we mail you the Bus Pass?

Your Bus pass will be available on the Parent Portal for you to Print. We will NOT be mailing them.

What is Subscription Bussing?

Certain areas under 2 miles have a bus service that you can pay/subscribe for.

Where do you find Subscription Bussing Form?

You can find it on your Parent Portal under Forms. It is also available on the district website at  www.edison.k12.nj.us under Quicklinks.

Do you mail or drop off the form?

You can complete the form online (be sure to press submit at the end) and a copy will be emailed to you.  You will then need to print a copy and mail  along with your payment or drop off in person to the Transportation Department. Our mailing address is listed on the District website under the Transportation Department.

When would you know about your child's bus assignment?

 It would be uploaded onto your Parent Portal sometime in the month of August.
