Hello Menlo Park School Families! As a new member to Menlo Park School, I am thrilled to join this amazing community of learners! Being the Curriculum Resource Teacher (CRT), I have the opportunity to bring my ten years of teaching experience to the staff and students of Menlo Park School. My main goal as the CRT is to provide our students with the best possible education to ensure their academic success and foster a lifetime love for learning.
As the CRT, my main responsibilities are:
- Supporting teachers implement the district curriculum using various effective teaching strategies through professional development sessions, modeling lessons, and providing collegial coaching amongst peers.
- Analyzing data with principal and teachers to target the needs of students and developing plans for teachers to best meet the needs of each student.
- Assisting teachers administer district benchmark assessments throughout the school year.
- Ensuring that all students and teachers have the required materials. This includes teacher and student access to the textbooks online and other academic online programs purchased by the district. The online resources are:
o Think Central – Access to Journeys in Grades K-5 and Math In Focus for Kindergarten
o Pearson Success – Access to Math books in Grades 1-5
o Eduplace – Access to Science books in Grades 2- 5
o EHarcourt – Access to Social Studies book in Grade 4
o Study Island – NJ ASK test prep reinforcingskills taught in school for Grades 3-5
I also coordinate the Literacy Academy as well the website for the school.
