It was a pleasure joining the Edison school community in May of 2016. It is with a great sense of pride and enthusiasm that I start my first full year as Assistant Principal of James Madison Intermediate School for the 2016-2017 school year. I am eager to continue to forge relationships with the entire school community in order to build upon the excellence already established in the Edison school district.
As an administrator, I am enriched by the daily learning experiences your children present and privileged to be working in partnership with Edison teachers, staff, and parents. Prior to my arrival, I served as a preschool teacher at Inspire Kids Preschool Program in Whippany and as a second grade teacher, Dean of Students, and administrator at University Heights Charter School, located in Newark. I am also an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University and a Teach For America Alum. I have a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and received my Principal Certificate from Montclair State University. My experiences and education prepared me to help enhance curriculum, shape instruction, and collaborate with all stakeholders to support students learning and social-emotional development.
Lifelong learning is at the core of my leadership practice. Accordingly, I look forward to working with you and discussing ways to support and enhance your child’s learning experiences. I am confident that by working together, we can ensure that each child becomes a leader of his or her own learning!
I believe communication is a driving force in achieving strong and lasting partnerships. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me by phone 732-452-2939 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to a great school year together!
