Welcome to the James Monroe PTO!

Thank you for your interest in the James Monroe PTO! As a new and exciting year begins, we want to welcome everyone!  To the new families joining our school, we are glad you are here.  As a school community, working together with a phenomenal staff, resourceful parents and their wonderful children, plus surrounding businesses that support our school, we are glad to say that we made it through another successful year! Thank you for all that you have done to make this happen.

Some of the things that the James Monroe PTO Fundraisers and Committees help our school achieve for our children are field trips, events like Harvest Eve, assemblies and other activities- all which are funded by the efforts of our parents, teachers, and community volunteers. Your help in making these things happen is appreciated.  Every dollar goes back to our children and you have a choice in participating in whichever fundraisers you choose-there is something for everyone. Please take a moment to read all papers sent home-some will pertain to you, others won’t.  Remember, that you also have many other ways you can contribute.  If you have an hour or more to volunteer, can run an event or chair a committee, these are big ways to help us meet our goals.

We want to urge you to join our PTO. By doing so, you are advocating for all children at James Monroe, but most importantly, your own. You can help create a well-built social network that shows our kids how families, schools, and communities work well together.  We have monthly PTO meetings where we offer connections within our school and community. We also discuss what is happening within the school and keep you up to date on  timely events as well. We want all our voices to be heard, and these meetings are the perfect platform to discuss all of these issues.

Please check the school website often for updates and information at http://www.edison.k12.nj.us. Here, you can also find forms that you can download such as the PTO Error! Hyperlink reference not valid. , membership form and others. You can send these forms in to the school with your child. Most of the upcoming events are listed on the Error! Hyperlink reference not valid..  We look forward to and welcome your participation.
