As of now, the second grade trip is still on for tomorrow. To be prepared for the possibility of rain, please send your child in wearing boots and a rain jacket.
There may be a chance that the trip will be cancelled due to the weather. The district will notify us of the decision tomorrow morning, therefore, we may not be able to notify you until school begins.

Woodbrook Elementary student council will be hosting a clothing drive to benefit the students of our school. Please clean out your closets and drop off the clothes on Wednesday, April 24th. All collections can be dropped off between the hours of 9:00AM and 3:00PM in front of Woodbrook School. Items being collected are clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, linens and stuffed animals. The Woodbrook Elementary School will be hosting a food drive for Middlesex County. We will be collecting canned and packaged goods only, NO glass items. Announcement for January 28 7:30 PM All Students
Hello, this is Woodbrook calling with several announcements.
First, cookie order money is due tomorrow. One dollar per cookie, no coins, exact change only please.
Second, tomorrow is the International Expo at JP Stevens High School. Parents, students and families of grades K-2 should enter through the main doors with their food in disposable pans at 4:15. You will walk to the cafe and a student or staff member will place your food on a table for everyone to enjoy. At 4:40, K-2 parents will exit the cafe and watch their children perform in the auditorium and will exit through the side door to the parking lot.
Parents, students and families in grades 3-5 should enter through the main doors with their food in disposable pans at 4:45. You will walk to the cafe and a student or staff member will place your food on a table for everyone to enjoy. At 5:10, grade 3-5 families and students will exit the cafe and watch their children perform in the auditorium. At the end of the performance, all families should exit through the side door of the auditorium.
Boys and girls who will be playing their instruments may arrive at 4:15 in order to perform for both K-2 and 3-5. They will give their instruments to their parents before exiting the cafe and performing in the auditorium with their grades. This applies to 4th and 5th grade students in band or instrumental only.

There have been many children in school who are sick with a stomach virus. It is spreading rapidly through the school. Please do not send your child to school if he has vomited. We have three important announcements
First, you can now sign up for Woodbrook's Science Fair online at the Woodbrook website. All registration is online. No flyers will go home regarding the science fair.
Second, please volunteer to bring food to our International Expo at JP Stevens HS on Jan. 29th. Sign up on line at the Woodbroook website for that as well. We really need your help to make it a success!
Third, many students have been arriving at school late. Please give yourself ample time to navigate the stop and drop lot. Students who are not in their seats by 9am will be marked late. We would like everyone to start the day on time.

Hello, this is Mrs. Cirillo calling from Woodbrook to let you know that we will be conducting an extra practice lockdown drill in the school on Thursday morning at 10am. We practice these drills each month, and we did hold one last week as well. As you know, we do not normally notify parents of these drills, but given the recent events and the heightened concerns regarding school safety, we feel that this extra drill calls for this notification. Thank you for your support at home. Thanks to your support and the Woodbrook staff, the children are doing very well and I am happy that they are feeling safe and cared for. First, tomorrow is a 1:30 dismissaldue to election day.
The kindergarten schedule is asfollows:
AM kindergarten will begin at theregular time and be dismissed at 11 and PM kindergarten will begin at 11:30 andbe dismissed at 1:30.
Second, the superintendent has setall Halloween parties for tomorrow. Donations should be sent in with your childor you may label them with your child's name and teacher's name. Place them onthe blue benches in the main lobby.
The parties will be held from9:30-10:40 and the parade will begin at 10:40 and end by 11:05.
PM kindergarten will have its paradeat 11:45 and the party will follow immediately after the parade. PMkindergarten should arrive at 11:30. Donations should clearly be marked PMkindergarten with your teacher's name and dropped off on the blue bench in themain lobby at 11:30.
Finally, parents should view theparade behind the school and along side the school along the blacktop andplayground sidewalk. Please do not stand in front of the school. Parents maynot block any driveway or garage. Please park legally in streets or park in theStop and Drop lot which will be available for parents during the parade.
Class parents should report at 9:15to set up for the party.

- Second, when you arrive, find your children's luggage outside and put it in the car.
- Third, after you put your luggage in the car, come to the gym, stand in line behind your child's classroom sign in the gym and wait for your child inside the gym.

First, you can still register for hobby quest aviation club today and you have until Sunday to register for Mad Science.

This is a message for first grade parents. Lunch forms are due each Thursday. There have been some problems with first grade orders. Many parents are selecting more than one lunch per day. Then, teachers have to go over lunch orders with children which takes away from instructional time. Hello, this is Mrs. Cirillo calling from Woodbrook to welcome you all back. I have several important announcements. During the first few days of school, buses will be late, some very late. Please do not leave the bus stop, the bus will come. Kindergarten parents, specifically, should remain at their bus stops and not leave. Have your cell phone with you. Car riders and walkers, please remember that arrival begins no earlier than 8:40am and all children should be in their seats by 9am. Parents should remember that there is no parking in the stop and drop lot. If you would like to walk your child to the door, you must park on Robin Road or in a legal spot on a side street. Fourth and fifth grade children are to enter through the fourth grade door by the fields past the playground. Second and third grade children are to enter by the main doors and kindergarten and first grade children are to enter by the first grade doors. If it is not raining, kindergarten and first grade children will be able to line up outside by the playground on the first day of school. If it is raining, the children will go inside to their classrooms and only kindergarten parents will be permitted inside the first grade hallway with their children. I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday morning!

Hello, this is Mrs. Cirillo from Woodbrook calling to remind all first grade parents who would like their children to receive lunch from our school cafeteria Wednesday, Thursday or Friday this week to please send in the menu marked with your child’s choices with money for each meal on the first day of school. This was mailed home with your child’s welcome letter in late August. It is also available on our website in the virtual backpack under first grade lunch.
Also, if it is raining during arrival on Wednesday, Sept 5, the first grade boys and girls will not be able to line up outside with parents, but will have to go straight into their classrooms through the first grade door by the playground. We will have adults and 5th grade patrols to direct all walkers and bus riders to the correct doors. Let’s hope it doesn’t rain.
