Student Council (Grades 4-5), Advisors – Mr. Sack, Ms Milton
The student council helps share students’ ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and school principals. They often also help raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community projects (food drives) and school reform.
Safety Patrols (Gr. 5) Advisor – Mr. Sack
The patrol’s job is to remind students of safety rules. Safety patrols duties are to set a good example and encourage other students to also observe safety rules at all times. Know and help enforce “fairly” all walking or bus rules and regulations. Report to the bus driver, patrol Advisor, administrators, and staff members assigned to a bus as needed. Attend and participate in all patrol meetings.
Newspaper (Grades 4 & 5), Advisors - Mrs. DiMuzio & Mrs. Saraiya
We encourage our students’ interest in journalism by publishing a newspaper written by the students. Our articles include classroom activities, interviews with Faculty members, report outs on assemblies, book 3 movie reviews and much more!
Chorus & Music Club(Grades 4 & 5) Advisor – Mrs. Vachè
Chorus is a musical performance by a group of singers. Children who enjoy singing are invited to join. Our chorus performs at least twice a year at the Winter Holiday sing-Along and for the Spring Concert.
Band (Gr. 5) Advisor – Mrs. Wojcik
Band is a musical performance by a group of children who are interested in or already know how to play a musical instrument. If you are a lover of music, and have the sincere desire to learn, you will get a great boost of self confidence and a feeling of accomplishment by learning how to play an instrument. Our band performs twice a year at the Winter Holiday sing-Along and for the Spring Concert.
Strings (Gr. 5) Advisor Mr. Lopez
Strings ensemble is a musical performance by a group of children who are interested in or already know how to play a String instrument. If you are a lover of music, and have the sincere desire to learn, you will get a great boost of self confidence and a feeling of accomplishment by learning how to play a string instrument. Our String ensemble performs several times a year at school events, the Winter Holiday sing-Along and for the Spring Concert.
