Welcome to the John Adams Middle School Library Media Center!
We are open Monday-Friday, 8:20 A.M. - 3:15 P.M. Students can stay until 4:00 P.M. on Monday and Wednesday afternoons to work on school related projects.
Need help with research, finding a good book, or writing your bibliography? Come see Ms. Whitt, your teacher-librarian, for help!
Guidelines for the Library Media Center
- Your Technology Agreement must be signed by your parents to use the Internet.
- Books can be borrowed for 3 weeks and renewed if needed.
- Magazines can be borrowed overnight.
- Passwords are needed to use subscription databases - ask Ms. Whitt for a copy.
Mission Statement
The mission of the John Adams M. S. Library Media Center is to make certain that our students and staff are efficient and effective users of ideas and information. The school library promotes literacy and the competencies necessary to function intelligently in our fast paced 21st century technological society. It also plays a significant role as a stimulus for academic instruction and as a vital part of the educational system. To support this initiative, we provide:
a. A well rounded collection of excellent multi-media resources chosen for their excellence in subject matter.
b. Instruction that promotes competence in academics, an appreciation for reading, and the efficient and critical use of information sources.
