  • Walk for CARE with Washington on April 27th!

    Washington School has built a reputation for consistently raising the most money for CARE. This year, we hope you will join us in walking as a big Washington Team! Please register using the form below. Also, we are now accepting shirt orders for beautiful blue shirts for the day of the walk!

  • Washington School Safety Ambassadors

    Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital brings the Safety Ambassadors program to elementary schools in order to teach children about pedestrian safety, home safety, playground safety, and falls prevention. The high school students from the First Aid classes pair up with RWJ interns to bring this program into our classrooms!

  • PTO Hosts Family Bingo Night!

    Washington PTO's Bingo Night was a huge success! Many families enjoyed the evening of games and entertainment. Every child went home with multiple prizes. It was a fantastic fundraiser!

  • Washington Jump Ropes for Heart!

    On Friday, February 21st, Washington students proudly wore red to celebrate the spirit of caring while participating in our Jump Rope for Heart event! Not only did students enjoy many fun stations to complete JumpRope for Heart activities in our gym thanks to Mrs. Glus and Mr. Schaber, but we raised more than $6,000 for this amazing cause!

  • Get Your Teacher to the Island!

    Washington School will be starting this year's Study Island contest! All third, fourth and fifth grade homerooms will compete to be the first to reach the island. Each time a class collectively earns 50 blue ribbons, the class will move one "wave" closer to the goal! There will also be individual recognition weekly. Good luck, Contestants!

  • Washington's Growing Readers are Excited to Learn

    Mrs. Frustol and Ms. Mateicka have started a "Growing Readers" club for some of our lucky first graders after school. They learn and practice their letter sounds, phonics, and reading skills. Mrs. Frustol and Ms. Mateicka know how to make it fun for young learners!

  • Washington Teams Up With Edison High School Homework Helpers!

    Washington School's new club, Homework Helpers, is lucky to have the help of Edison High School Key Club volunteers. Every Monday after school, they come help students build strong study habits and complete their homework.

  • It's All Adding Up...at Washington's Math Club!

    Mrs. Duffy and Mrs. Pavlichko work with excited math students before school to practice some fun, real life applications and math concepts: planning a budget for a delicious Halloween party menu!
